It is a time to weep for Nigeria; how can a country play with the education of younger generation? Recently, a certain character mandated the Academic Staff Union of Universities to call of its four months old strike. We need to weep for Nigeria when illiterates and semi -illiterates can stand to insult erudite scholars. While this present government is not the cause of the ASUU strike, President Goodluck Jonathan should do everything possible to resolve the matter. We should be concerned that young Nigerian graduates are no more eager to take up lecturing as a profession. Hence caution is needed to avoid future ASUU strikes.
