Spokes Person of the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA in the south west, Ibrahim Farinloye confirmed the incident saying 8 bodies have been recovered from the site of the crash, while Yakubu Dati from FAAN confirms 5 injured so far and taken to the hospital.

A few minutes ago, a private plane allegedly owned by Associated Airlines crashed at Aviation Estate, Mafoluku, Oshodi-Isolo way, Lagos.
According to reports, 20 people are feared dead. The body of the former Governor of Ondo State Olusegun Agagu who died in September after slumping in Lagos, was also allegedly on board. Mr. Agagu was to be buried tomorrow (11 a.m.), while a lying-in-state was to be held today in Akure.
Eyewitnesses say the crash happened at the local wing of the Murtala Mohammed airport, close to the section where JET-A1, plane fuel is stored. The aircraft is said to have crashed as it took off.
