Federal Government Set To Stop The Production Of Sachet Water

The Federal Ministry of Environment has developed a draft action plan for the phasing out of light weight non-biodegradable plastics in the country, a top official of the ministry, said, yesterday.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Abuja, said that the draft action plan had already been adopted by stakeholders in the sector.
He recalled that the ministry, in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, UNIDO, had in December 2013, organised a workshop to sensitise Nigerians on the process.

“What we intend to do now is to follow the implementation of the action plan since the awareness has already started; the next step is to source funds from UNIDO to implement the plan.
“Once we have funds, we will continue with other activities in the process of phasing out heavy non-biodegradable plastics.”

The official said it was not possible to completely phase out non-biodegradable plastics because of its importance in the society.
He cited the example of a plastic chair, which is a non-biodegradable component, to buttress his point.

He said that the ministry would start with the phasing out of light weight non-degradable plastics such as table water sachets and polythene bags.
“Those countries that have succeeded in phasing out the substance started with placing a ban on the light weight ones.
“Countries like China and South Africa have placed outright ban on light weight plastic bags while some other countries have placed tax levies on the manufacture, retailer and buyers of light weight bags.

“We are going to be gradual in the phasing out process as well, so that we will not cause havoc to the livelihood of people working in the industry.
“We will also use alternative sources that are economically feasible and environment-friendly to replace the non-degradable products,” the official said.

I Wanted To Become The Richest Man In Africa', Says Man Who Killed His Mother For Money Making Rituals

Policeman sentenced to death by hanging for killing 20yr old man

Justice has finally come the way of the family of slain Emmanuel Victor (pictured above), a 20 year old young man who was killed in front of his mother by a trigger-happy Policeman, Mathew Egheghe, two years ago in Yenogoa, Bayelsa state.

Victor was shot dead after he confronted a group of policemen who were trying to extort money from motorists as he was coming back from church. Angered by his effrontery to question their action, Policeman Egheghe moved close to Victor and shot him at close range.
Narrating what happened, Victor's mother Grace, who witnessed the incident said:
"They shot my son brutally. As he fell while they were shooting him, the tallest of them still continued shooting him on the ground". She said she was harassed and stopped from going close to her dying son even as he lay gasping for life in the pool of his own blood.
Delivering his judgement on the case, Justice Lucky Boufili said that such a cruel act was only punishable by the maximum penalty which is death. He sentenced Mathew Egheghe to death by Hanging. The police has since dismissed Mathew Egheghe and his two accomplices from the force.

Touching story! Husband who kept vigil by his wife's grave everyday for 20 years dies

culled from Boston Globe
When Rocky Abalsamo's wife died in 1993, part of him died too. Out of sadness and longing, he would hold vigil by her grave site at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury all day, every day, rarely eating or drinking and weathering all temperatures and conditions.
Now, over 20 years after his beautiful Julia 'Julita' passed away, Rocky 'Roque' continues to sit next to his beloved, after being buried in the plot next to her.Rocky died on Janaury 22 at Stonehedge Health Care Center in West Roxbury after several months of declining health. He was 97.
They met as teenagers in a cafe in their native Buenos Aires. Rocky was sitting with his back to Julita when he overheard her talking with friends “about the soul, about life, goodness,” Even before seeing her face, he decided, “This is for me. I must know her.”
He said he fell in love with her “not because she was” – he made the symbol for an hourglass figure with his hands – “but she was,” he added, making the gesture again. “She was pure love. Her beauty was a gift apart, a reward.”
They shared a first kiss on Sept. 16, 1937, a date he celebrated annually. They married the following April. After their daughter Angela, they had a son, Roque Jr.Rocky worked for three decades as a civil engineer while Julita tended their family. They followed their children to the United States in 1971 and settled in Boston a year later
Rocky and Julita had been married for 55 years when she died in 1993 of complications after heart surgery. Distraught, he began spending his days at St. Joseph Cemetery.
“She is part of me, so here I am whole,” he said. “Being here makes me feel better. Not good, but better. I do it for Julita, and for myself.”
Among the belongings he carried daily to the cemetery was a photograph of a lovely woman with green eyes and dark hair. On the back, she had written: “Today the sky smiles to me. I see you. You look at me. Today I believe in God. With all my love, Julita.”
The Globe’s 2000 story, headlined “Endless Love,” described Rocky’s ritual:
“On cold days Rocky wears a patched and faded green parka. He owns other coats, but Julita knew this one best, so he will not change. He greets Julita — ‘I am here!’ Then he unfolds a blue beach chair — he leaves it every night against her headstone — placing it on a piece of plywood to keep it from sinking into the soft earth. Then Rocky relaxes, reading, writing, and reflecting. For exercise and to keep warm, he walks around nearby headstones engraved Cicciu, St. Clair, Doyle, Galvin, and Daley.
“He rarely eats or drinks, in part out of respect but also so he does not need a bathroom. On special occasions he toasts Julita with sparkling cider; he will do so Dec. 20, her birthday. Some days he brings a cassette player. On one tape they sing together, a Spanish lullaby. Rocky’s strong tenor is answered by Julita’s sweet soprano. Hearing Julita’s voice brings a smile to his face, a mist to his clear blue eyes.
“When dark comes, Rocky prays. He sprinkles crumbs on the grave, so chipmunks will keep Julita company after he has gone. Sadness returning, he says goodbye. He rubs her name on the red granite stone. The ritual has left an indelible mark.”
Over time, what began as a personal act of mourning touched dozens of others who came to the cemetery. Former strangers brought him meals, boots, hats, and scarves, and they decorated Julita’s grave with plants, ceramic angels, flags, and stuffed animals. He told them stories and shared his wisdom about life and love.

Rocky continued his daily pilgrimage until 2005, when his son was killed in a car crash in California. Although he still visited Julita’s grave regularly, Rocky spent more time with his surviving family members.
“I think he had a realization at that point that we need to let go and we need to continue to live,” his daughter said.
His last visit was in July, before he fell ill.

Chinese Boss Breaks Bottle On Employee's Head In Ogun, SEE What Happened Next

 photo

Two Chinese nationals, Mike Jackson and Tony Jackson, have been detained by the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Ogun State, for allegedly assaulting one of their employees at Jivan Plastic Company.
The assaulted employee, Adeleke Owolabi, a Mass Communications graduate from Olabisi Onabanjo university was on his first day at the job when he was reportedly attacked by Mike over a minor mistake. He was trying to defend himself when the other Chinese national, Tony smashed a bottle on his head.
Recounting his ordeal, Owolabi said, “I was bringing out PVC materials out of a bag and Mike said I was not handling the materials properly. He kicked me and slapped me repeatedly so I held unto his shirt to prevent him from beating me further.
“However, his cousin, Tony, smashed a bottle on my head and they beat me until I fainted and woke up on the way to Makun Police Division covered in blood.”
According to Owolabi, the police declined arresting the Chinese men due to their status as foreigners but after the story was published yesterday, the police swung into action. They went to the company in Sagamu and whisked the suspects away.
Owolabi said, "Yes, the Chinese men have been detained at the SCID and I am satisfied with the action of the police so far. I am happy that the media are helping to ensure that the matter is not swept under the carpet. I am not after money but I just don’t want a situation whereby Nigerians are treated badly by foreigners in their own land."
Confirming the arrest, the Ogun state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi said, "the matter is at the SCID and we are compiling the case files. We want to assure members of the public that justice will prevail."

BRUTAL: North Korea Leader Orders Execution Of All Blood Relatives Of His Uncle, Including Children – Report

In a brutal purge to obliterate any trace of his uncle Jang Song-thaek, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered the execution of all the blood relatives of the traitor uncle, said reports.

The North Korean regime carried out “extensive executions” of Jang Song-thaek’s entire family, not sparing even children.

‘Some relatives were shot to death by pistol in front of other people if they resisted while being dragged out of their apartment homes,’ the Daily Mail quoted South Korea’s Yonhap agency.

The mass execution was ordered by the leader to ensure that “no traces” of the ‘traitor’ uncle were left, Yonhap agency quoted a source as saying.

Those executed in cold blood include Jang’s sister Jang Kye-sun, her husband Jon Yong-jin ( who was also North Korea’s ambassador to Cuba), and Jang Yong-chol, a nephew of Jang, the North Korean ambassador to Malaysia, as well as his two sons.

Only few marriage relatives, like the wife of Malaysian ambassador, were let free and sent to live in remote villages.

The sons, daughters and the grandchildren of Jang’s two brothers, too, were not spared, reports the Daily Mail, citing Yonhap news agency.

The report further states that the family members were first brought to the Pyongyang area of the country by Ministry of State troops and then executed.

The timing of their execution is not yet clear but sources told Yonhap that they might have been killed in December after Jang Song-thaek was killed.

Jang Song-thaek, the husband of Kim Jong Un’s father’s sister, was arrested and put to death on Dec 12 last year on charges of plotting a coup, being a womaniser, misappropriation of funds and abuse of position.

Crazy Things Some Desperate Naija Girls Are Doing To Get Married (LOOK)

1. Snatching a friend or relation’s man. All is fair in love and war! Rumour has it that women have resorted to locking their phones, hiding their men and coding their gist from so-called friends cos it’s a jungle out there…

2. Re-inventing themselves. Pretence is the order of the day. No man wants to tame the shrew or teach the inexperienced or make an honest woman out of a dishonest one so once marriage is desired, women package themselves in pseudo, ready-made, easy-to-use, highly desirable packages. After marriage, what you see is what you get!

3. Trapping him with pregnancy. This used to be the old school method of getting a man to propose. From skipping the pill to seducing the man or getting him drunk when she was ovulating, a woman usually knew she had the man where she wanted him once she missed her period even if there was no commitment. Now the guys are saying YES to baby mamas and YES to child support. Are the girls deterred? NO! The girls have stepped up their game by involving the parents and you know parents don’t like scandals.

4. Praying&Fasting. This would presumably be an honourable means of obtaining a husband but sometimes the prayers are offered up to deities other than God & other times it becomes a song permanently on repeat.

5. Taking his photograph to Cele church for a prophetess to pray over or a powerful Alfa. Heard it works like a charm.

6. Taking his sperm, hair or personal effects to Baba. Guys disposing of your condoms yourself is not such a bad idea…

8. Putting love potion in his food! This is classic and timeless but shouldn’t it be called a ‘compelling’ potion? Because in this case, love na by force!

9. Saying YES to a man you despise! A woman has two classes of men usually on her case. The ‘correct’ guys and the ‘disgos’. The disgos usually end up as magas or rebounds but many a woman has shocked a despondent toaster with a sudden ‘Yes’ and men have agreed that truly there is nothing God cannot do!

10. Proposing to a guy! Yes it does happen… (Who wears the engagement ring?)

11. Toasting a man’s family so they make the decision for him! A friend complained that a girl he detested had over the months gotten close to his family. Lavishing on them, cooking for them and basically being their ‘go-to’ girl and now his mum had put her foot down that he had to break up with his girlfriend and marry little-miss-went-home-to-mama depending on how much power the family wields, their word may be final…

12. Asking daddy to get you a husband! If daddy’s a big shot, arranging a husband for you is usually as easy as pie and some men would sell their souls for a large chunk of daddy’s money so both parties are happy…

13. Being your man’s maga! Some women believe that when you finally get a man to be interested in you, spoiling him and overlooking his every fault would get you into a white gown faster than an okada chased by LASTMA! Some men don’t mind a woman who houses them, clothes them, feeds them, gives ‘em pocket money, never gets upset with them even when they misbehave and cleans up after them with little or no contribution from them… Living the dream???

14. Giving him unlimited freedom as long as he proposes. “Tell me I’m number one baby, tell me I’m the future mother of your kids and not Amina, Bisi or Ngozi!” Women used to wanna be the one AND ONLY in their man’s life, now being the number one is good enough…

15. Polishing up a low class, barely educated brother in exchange for a ring! The deal is simple, you send your cleaner, gateman or driver to night school, you give him language lessons, you take him to buy some new clothes and deodorant and teach him to call you honey instead of madam and in exchange, he gets to marry you, share an expensive bedroom and never worry about his bills ever again!

16. Revamping yourself. Change your ward-robe, lose 20kg, buy a truckload of brazilian hair, study the karma-sutra, do a vaginoplasty and change the age on your birth-certificate to read 22. Botox, plastic surgery, a compulsory gym membership and ‘body magic’ also indicated!

17. Becoming a worker in church! Rumour has it that men go to church to marry, the same rumour also reveals that ‘Greeters’, ‘Ushers’ and ‘Lead Soloists’ have the best exposure…praise the Lord!

18. Moving to a new town or part of town so that you are the ‘new girl’. This always peaks the men’s interest and at the same time you get to run away from your past and the ‘old maid’ labels! Combine this with number 16 above and ooh la la!
19. Going for ‘deliverance’ from a spirit husband and sowing a big ‘marriage’ seed in church! Giving your possessions to the poor, giving a sacrificial offering or just giving one thing to God that would make you weep…

20. Abandoning your hopes, dreams and ambitions! I’ve heard people say that women looking for a prince charming live unrealistic dreams, virgins are old-school, overly educated women are proud, rich women are not submissive, ambitious women are conceited, women with demanding jobs won’t have time for their families, women who want a faithful man are deluded and women who don’t get pregnant before wedlock have something wrong with their plumbing! So forsake the masters, don’t even dream of a PhD, quit your job, give away all your money and surely a husband will come… And if all else fails…

21. Marry a married man! He could be your friend’s husband, your sister’s husband, your cousin’s husband, your colleague’s husband, even your mother’s husband if you like! Can you blame these women? The average guy has commitment phobia or is out to play till he is all spent before he settles down or is waiting to make his first ’5 million’ before saying ‘I do’. Even a man with no future ambition or class, much less finances still knows he could have his pick of the best women out there, once he announces he is looking to settle! The last census showed a female-dominated demographic with more women per eligible bachelor. Family and society constantly put the woman in hot water making her personal successes irrelevant till she bags a man.

Advice Corner:My Girlfriend’s Mum Is Pregnant For Me; But It’s Not My Fault

A cry for help from a desperate young man, who impregnated his girlfriend’s mother, but actually didn’t mean to do it.

“My name is Elvis. Pls I need you to look at this situation that I’ve found myself and tell me if I’m wrong: I got a house for my girlfriend out of my parent’s house just because I wanted us to have our privacy before we get married. I am always going there to spend the night most times and she did not tell me that her mother is very young and beautiful; a single woman.

But one day I went to “our house” and she introduced me to her mum, the woman really liked me. But I didnt know that it’s not just like, but love. One day my girl was on night shift in the hospital where she works and her mum called me around 7:30 and told me that I should come to the house, as she wants to see me before she goes back.

I came and she told me she is bored and that I should spend the night with her and stay till my girl is back in the morning so we can both take her to the park to return to Asaba.

I agreed and at night she woke me up from the chair and asked me to join her in bed…

My heart skipped but she said she just don’t want me to have neck pain by sleeping on the chair till morning. I followed her to the bed and in less than five minutes she has taken off her wrapper and was with me under the blanket.

I understood what she wanted and by looking at her bare body I was already in the mood, so I slept with her, like 3 times before morning and I even enjoyed her more than her daughter.

When she left, my girlfriend was angry that I spend the night in “our house” with her mum without telling her but I told her it was her mum’s idea and that I did not complain since her mum told me that I would stay till she got back from work. I lied to her that nothing happened, that’s my mistake.

Her mum called me after last Christmas and told me that she was pregnant for me and that we should tell my girl so that her daughter can “look for another man”. The woman wants to marry me.

My girlfriend is aware now and she is cursing me, threatening my life. But is it my fault? Pls I’m confused!”

Yetunde Akilapa, actress accused of stealing recounts her ordeal

Yetunde-Akilapa2
The Nollywood actress in the middle of theft scandal, Yetunde Akilapa, narrates her side of the story in an interview with Encomium magazine. She says the whole incident on January 12 was a mystery to her but she has been delivered by God.
Yetunde-Akilapa
Read interview below….
How did the incidence of January 12 2014 happen. It was reported that you were caught in the dining room of a house in Magodo, and the owner of the house met you there with suspicion that you are there for the wrong reasons. Can you shed more light on the story?
That day I wanted to take my clothes to dry-cleaners. Meanwhile my younger sister had told me earlier that she was not feeling fine. I now planned to go her place after dropping my clothes. I told my friend whom I was putting up with in Ketu that I wanted to go to Bariga to see my sister. That day I also wanted to go to church but I didnt know what happened to me. I just decided to forget about church. As I wanted to board a bus to Bariga, something told me to cross to the other side of the road and take keke NAPEP going to Magodo. That was how I boarded the keke going to Magodo with my bag, clothes and four keys on me. On getting to Magodo, I saw a house and went there straight. I didn’t see any gateman there. I opened the door because it wasnt locked. I entered the house and slept off in the dining room. That’s all I knew till one man just woke me up.

He started interrogating me, asking me a lot of questions which I could not answer. He didn’t accuse me of coming to rob or steal anything but he only wanted to know who i was looking for. But I didn’t know what to say because everything was like a mystery to me. He said i should go first. As I wanted to step out, he instructed the security men there not to allow me move an inch. They were all shouting Thief! Thief!!.

Immediately he picked his phone and called his brother, telling him he met a  strange woman in the house when he came back from church and when he was leaving the house, he locked the door. So he was suprised when he found me in their dining room. How did she enter? He started saying a lot of things, I was trying to explain to them that I didnt use any key to open the door, I just entered and sat on the dining table and that was how i slept off. I told them i was also confused, I couldnt explain how I got to their place. That was the time i began to realize i was at the wrong place. Then when the owner of the house came, he also started interrogating me, he said i should confess the person that sent me. He asked weather I was sent to kill him. He thought I came with fetish things, and I said no. He said I should just confess. He even said maybe I was sent to kill his wife. He never accused me of stealing. As he was saying all of this, I was pleading, telling them i wanted to give my clothes to the drycleaners. They asked of the person’s name and I told them Bisi. And they checked my phone and found her number. When they called her to find out, she told them she didnt say Magodo but Maryland. That was how they said I was not saying the truth, that i didn’t want to expose the person that sent me. Before I knew it, one guy just hit me in the head with a club. That’s all I knew.

By the time I regained consciousness, they had invited my friend. When she came, she was shocked to see me in that state. She was screaming. Those people now concluded that they would take me to the police station but before then, they took me to a private hospital to get me treated. When we got to the police station, they started drilling me and I explained the way I explained to them at the house. They asked the owner of the house if I stole anything, he said no but the way they found me in the house was suspicious. He said maybe I was sent by somebody on a diabolical mission. Their pastor also came and I explained the whole thing to him also, he prayed for me. He said my problem is spiritual. He said God wanted to deliver me that’s why I came to that house that day. But now, my problem is over. That’s how I was asked to go.

Wife Who Gave Husband Her Kidney To Save His Life Wants It Back After He Dumped Her!

41 years old loving wife Samantha who saved her husband’s life by giving him one of her kidneys now wants it back after he dumped her.
Her husband Andy Lamb was dying of renal kidney failure and was only being kept alive by weekly sessions of dialysis until his wife Samantha persuaded him to take one of hers.
The 41-year-old mother-of-one told the Sunday People:
‘He needed a new kidney or he would die. He was on dialysis three times a week. I told Andy he should go through with it. He had children from an earlier relationship and he wanted to be there for them.’
But Samantha says as soon as she went through with the operation she regretted it. She believed her
husband was cheating on her – first that he was having an affair with her friend Clare. Samantha confronted her friend, Clare confirmed they were having an affair which Andy totally denied.
The couple tried to save their marriage and Samantha gave her husband one more chance but later discovered he was having sex chats online with women.
The couple got married in 2007 but in 2012, Andy finally left his wife. Samantha said:
‘I would definitely go through the operation again – but I wouldn’t give the kidney to him. I hate him. If I could, I’d take it back and give it to someone else.’
Andy however denies having an affair with Samantha’s friend but admits walking out on her. He said:
‘I did walk out on Samantha after she’d donated her kidney, but I wasn’t unfaithful. I never wanted her to donate her kidney because it was a big risk. But she insisted and I’ll always owe her my life. I loved her but our relationship wasn’t working. We had big rows and her family never liked me

[EXPOSED]: How Gaddafi Seually Abused Young Girls and Boys In A Sex Chamber!

Two years after the death of Libyan dictator, Muammar Gaddafi, a chamber where he raped girls and boys as young as 14 years old has been discovered. Read the incredibly sad story below...
The full horror of his brutality has been slow to emerge, with many Libyans still fearing retaliation by those who continue to be loyal to their late leader. But it can now be revealed that the most heartbreaking of Gaddafi's victims include hundreds, possibly thousands of teenage girls who, throughout his 42-year reign, were beaten, raped and forced to become his sex slaves.
Many were virgins kidnapped from schools and universities and kept prisoner for years in a specially designed secret sex lair hidden within Tripoli University or his many palaces. In the 26 months since he was deposed, Gaddafi's den – where he regularly raped girls as young as 14 – has remained locked. But today its gaudy interior, where the colonel brutalised his victims, can be seen for the first time in photographs from a hard-hitting BBC4 documentary. Inside the small, nondescript single-storey complex, the girls were forced to watch pornography to 'educate' them for their degrading treatment at the hands of Gaddafi. And even those who did manage to escape were often shunned by their deeply religious Muslim families who believed their family honour had been tainted.
When the dictator's body was dragged through the streets by a baying mob, just hours after he was beaten and shot in the head, the hastily convened transitional government moved swiftly to seal off the sex dungeon. They feared the full extent of Gaddafi's debased and lewd lifestyle would horrify the Western world and cause deep embarrassment to Libya.
One of the rooms holds little more than a double bed, lit by an orange lamp. Its 1970s decor and grimy Jacuzzi – all left exactly as they were when Gaddafi last used it – give it a seedy and gloomy air. But even more chilling is the clinical gynaecological suite in an adjoining room. It was here, on two beds fitted with stirrups behind a table laden with surgical instruments, that Gaddafi's young victims were examined to ensure they had no sexually transmittable diseases. And here they were forced to undergo abortions if they became pregnant.

This is the fully-fitted gynecological suite where young girls would be placed in one of the two beds and checked for STDs before they were sent in to the waiting dictator
They, however, were the lucky ones. Other young victims were so badly abused that they were dumped in car parks and on waste ground, and left to die.Gaddafi's modus operandi was to tour schools and universities where female students were invited to his lectures.
As he spoke before his hushed audience, he would silently scan the room seeking out attractive girls. Before leaving he would pat those he had 'selected' on the head.
Within hours his private bodyguards would round up those chosen and kidnap them. If their families tried to keep them from Gaddafi's clutches, they were gunned down.
One teacher at a Tripoli school recalled how the girls were all very young. 'Some were only 14,' she said. 'They would simply take the girl they wanted. They had no conscience, no morals, not an iota of mercy even though she was a mere child.'
One mother, whose daughter was a student, said the community around Tripoli University lived in fear when a visit from the colonel was announced. 'The girls he wanted would be rounded up and sent to him,' she said.
'One just disappeared and they never found her again, despite her father and brothers searching for her. Another was found three months later, cut, raped and lying in the middle of a park. She had been left for dead.'
Even today, the Libyan people are afraid to speak openly about Gaddafi's depravity, fearing reprisals from his former henchmen.
But one woman – who was repeatedly raped by the despot over seven years from the age of 15 – has anonymously spoken of how he terrorised and abused her. She had been chosen to present the colonel with a bouquet when he toured her school in his home town of Sirte on the Mediterranean coast, 350 miles east of Tripoli.
When he patted her head afterwards, in an apparently paternal gesture,  she thought she had pleased the man she and her fellow Libyans were forced to call 'the Guide'.
The next day three woman dressed in military uniform arrived telling  her parents she was needed to present more flowers. Instead, she was driven at high speed to Gaddafi's lair. Once there, he barked at his women soldiers: 'Get her ready.'
The girl was stripped, given a blood test and shaved of all  but her pubic hair. She was dressed in a G-string, forced into a low-cut gown and had thick make-up plastered on her face. When she was shoved into Gaddafi's room, to her horror he was lying naked on the bed. When she tried to run out, the women soldiers grabbed her and flung her back on the bed.
She was raped repeatedly during the seven years she was held captive, eventually escaping when a door was accidentally left unlocked.
Fuelled by cocaine and alcohol – and often Viagra – Gaddafi abused her horribly. 'I will never forget that first time, that moment,' she says. 'He  violated my body and pierced my  soul with a dagger. That blade will never come out.'
It took the documentary-makers months of negotiations to be allowed access to information on Gaddafi as Libya remains secretive and hide-bound by bureaucracy.
But they also established that Gaddafi set up a 'murder for hire' team run from Havana to rid him of enemies around the world. In a secret interview from Cuba, former CIA agent Frank Terpil said: 'I would say [it was] Murder Incorporated .  .  . murder for hire. Gaddafi thought that anybody who was a dissident, they [should be] eliminated, he had contracts out on a bunch of people in London.'
He often stored the bodies of those killed in Libya in freezers so that he could regularly view them.
If Gaddafi was power-crazed, he was also paranoid. A Brazilian plastic surgeon found himself escorted deep inside a bunker in Tripoli in the middle of the night in order to remove  fat from Gaddafi's belly and inject it into his increasingly wrinkled face.
Despite the pain, Gaddafi refused a general anaesthetic, fearing he might be poisoned – and because he wished to remain alert.
Halfway through the operation, he stopped to have a hamburger.
He also created an elite squad of bodyguards – all female – whom he used for sex and forced to watch multiple barbaric executions.
For decades Gaddafi surrounded himself with these beautiful young women. Dressed in close-fitting military uniforms, with manicured nails and perfectly coiffed hair, they exuded glamour while toting guns.
But they were little more than disposable prostitutes used and abused by Gaddafi and his family.
Known as 'the Haris al-Has' – the private female guards – almost  all were coerced into joining his cadre. One of them, who admits she had 'once adored him', recalled the horrific treatment they had to endure. 'Early one morning, at 2am, we were taken to a closed hall,' she said. 'We were to witness the murder of 17 students. We were not allowed to scream. We were made to cheer and shout. To act as though delighted by this display. Inside I was crying. They shot them all, one by one.'
According to Benghazi-based psychologist Seham Sergewa, who interviewed scores of the girls for the International Criminal Court, there were about 400 members of the elite squad over the years.
'A pattern emerged in their stories,' she explains. 'The women would first be raped by the dictator then passed on, like used objects, to one of his sons and eventually to high- ranking officials for more abuse.
'In one case a girl of 18 said she was raped in front of her father. She kept begging her distraught father to look away. Many of the victims say they contemplated suicide many times. Doubtless there were some who took their own lives.'
It has also emerged that teams of boys were sent to Gaddafi's sex den, where they too were abused. Former chief of protocol Nuri Al Mismari, who was at Gaddafi's side for 40 years, adds: 'He was terribly sexually deviant. Young boys and so on. He had his own boys. They used to be called the "services group". All of them were boys and bodyguards .  .  . a harem for his pleasure.' One of the few Libyans who was prepared to be named and talk about the horrors Gaddafi inflicted on his people was Baha Kikhia, the widow of Libya's former foreign minister with whom Gaddafi had a frosty relationship.
When her husband vanished one evening, she confronted Gaddafi about his whereabouts. The colonel insisted he was being kept alive but, to Baha's horror, his body was one of many found in freezers after the regime fell.
'He liked to keep his victims in the refrigerators to look at them now and again,' she says haltingly. 'He would visit his victims.
'It was as though they were some sort of macabre souvenirs. Something that he could look at and touch to remind himself of his omnipotence. Some had been there as long as 25 years.'

Here is what happened between us – he was my schoolmate back in high school, we fell in love after we left school and believe me he’s my first love and i lost my woman dignity to him, he complained to me bitterly on how poor they are and if their is going to be us in the future, i should find a way to help him out then when i was in year3 in the university, so after graduation, i thought about it because i really want to spend the rest off my life with him, because of the blinded love i have for him, i stole one of my dad’s land document and sold the land without family knowing what is going on, His visa came out successfully and he traveled to Canada..
We spoke for about 2Yrs happily till the day i called in to know if he has made enough money for me to join him over as we planned, unlucky for me, he told me never to call his line again that what i did for him was just a benefit of relationship and that am a slot, i don’t deserve nothing good from him…
I dated him all this while without cheating even when he traveled till now, thee problem is am in the middle of no where, i lost the man, lost the land, lost my families trust…
Definitely they found out what i did and am now treated like a stranger in my fathers house, Single and hopeless, Please friends where will i start from?

My Husband Is Not Dead, Stop The Rumour… He Already Predicted This Commotion- Joy Ajanaku

Joy Ajanaku is Prophet Ajanaku’s wife. The prophet, who died and ‘rose from death’ according to his church members and later died again last year, is said to be alive by his wife who has taken over his church activities. Till today, people are yet to know how the prophet was buried or where he was buried. But his wife insists in this interview that her husband is not dead but alive. People will know the truth when the time comes, she said. Her statement to City People;

To those saying my husband is dead, I am telling them that they are talking out of ignorance. They are not spiritual and it is only spiritual people that will understand what is happening right away. It is a sin to say bad things against men of God and I am a living experience that he is not dead. Whenever I call upon his God, he answers me. A lot of people have lots of testimonies. So I am telling them not to ever refer to him as a dead Prophet Elijah Ireti Ajanaku.I leave them to God if they do that. At the appropriate time, they will know the truth about the whole issue.Even before this death rumour, I remembered he told the large congregation that he will cause commotion and the whole world will come to look for him. When it happened, we all knew my Daddy said so. This is the commotion he talked about but I know God will vindicate him.

Amaechi, Ngige, Al-Mustapha All Escort El-Rufai To SSS Office

After armed men from the State Security Service, SSS, stormed former FCT Minister, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai's home on Friday to invite him to their headquarters but meant his absence, the former Minister has decided to honour their invitation by going to their Headquarters this morning, along with some APC chiefs. Governor Rotimi Amaechi, APC National Secretary, Treasurer, Senator Ngige and Al Mustpha were part of the people with him. But it seems the SSS men are only interested in talking to El-Rufai alone. See the rest of his tweets after the cut.

Terrible! How Parents Locked Up Their Daughter For Almost 3 Years In A Cage Like Rabbit In Bayelsa

Where she was kept would stir emotion even in a stone hearted being. What came to the mind of many was why any parent would banish their own child to such a despicable solitary confinement.

The grubby dungeon,  located in front of her family apartment, was built with carton board and roofing sheets ostensibly to ward off the elements and gave it the semblance of a dwelling place. The less than four feet high structure could be mistaken for cage for dog.

Sadly, this had been the abode of 16-year-old Blessing Olokumo in the last two and a  half years.
Blessing, a twin, whose little frame betrays her age, cuts the picture of neglect and abandonment. Her parents might have locked her up in the cage which had  no window to keep her away from the public out of shame or  wanted her dead.

Blessing’s condition is pathetic. Unlike her twin sister in senior secondary school class 2, Blessing never had the opportunity of seeing the four walls of a school due to her health challenge with the result that she could only communicate in Isoko, her mother’s native dialect.

Though the father is an indigene of Ayibabiri community in Kolokuma-Opokuma local government area of Bayelsa State, the mother, Binaese, is from Igbide in Isoko South local government area of Delta.
Sunday Vanguard learnt that though Blessing’s was born normal, her problem started about 13 years ago when she was aged three in Delta State.

She was said to have suffered from convulsion, which was not properly taken care of by her parents probably due to ignorance. The father was then said to have acted against doctor’s advice by forcefully taking her away from the hospital where she was receiving treatment because he could not afford the N15,000 medical bill.

The convulsion was said to have  worsened over time due to poor medical attention leading to her abnormal behaviour.

The ailment is also believed to be responsible for her retarded growth when compared to her twin sister, a beautifully grown girl.

Although physically challenged kids like her deserve decent life, love and adequate medical attention, in her case she was treated cruelly;  locked up in a cage lacking window for proper ventilation and light.

The place where she was confined for almost three years by her father shares fence with a medical facility where she is now receiving treatment.

Co-tenants, who could have notified the authorities on the girl’s plight,  looked the way ostensibly for fear of incurring the wrath of her father whose relation, Sunday Vanguard learnt, owned the house they are living in.
Succour however came her way last weekend when a concerned native of Okolobiri alerted the group, the Mary Slessor Twin Foundation, which rescued her and took her to the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobiri where she is receiving treatment.

When this reporter, on  Thursday, visited what once served as her home, it was discovered that a rubber carpet had been laid on the bare floor with a view to making it look a little decent due to the public interest generated after her predicament was reported.

A resident berated the girl’s parents. “This is the height of man’s inhumanity to man, especially coming from one’s own father. The girl though is retarded doesn’t deserve the treatment meted to her. Before now, she used to walk freely around from her parents apartment to her mother’s kiosk by the roadside without disturbing anybody,” the resident said.

The girl, on admission at the teaching hospital courtesy of Mary Slessor Twins Foundation,  cut the picture of a  six-year-old. Her confinement and lack of care apparently left her  malnourished, as according to the doctor handling her case, “she is 16 year old but her weight is like that of a five year old.”
Acting President of the  Foundation, Mr. Tonyon Ebitei Robert,  said she was locked up because she was defecating around the family  house.

According to him, Blessing’s father, who is also a twin and a security official with the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital,  Okolobiri, allegedly built the cage and locked up his daughter to keep her away from the main house.

“She was kept like a rabbit. She was given food when it was available and was allowed to sleep in her vomit, faeces, urine. She lost weight and could have died,” Robert said.

He explained that the group,  known for its campaign against maltreatment of twins, was contacted by concerned indigenes of Okolobiri community where the Olokumo family resides.

Blessing, he said, was rushed to the teaching hospital where she is being given medical treatment.
Though the father was not around when Sunday Vanguard visited as he was said to have gone to Yenagoa for a  verification exercise, the mother of the girl was sighted at the hospital keeping her company. The woman, who identified herself as Binaese, said the girl was locked up because she was roaming about and  disturbing other neighbours, a claim that was dismissed by a resident who said the girl though has health challenges  hardly disturbed  anybody.

Dr. Deji, who was attending to the girl when Sunday Vanguard visited her, said: “We gathered that when she was three years, she started having convulsion and the convulsion worsened over time and due to the poor control of the convulsion she started having abnormal behaviour.

“About three years ago, the father decided to keep her in an enclosure outside the house and, over time, she degenerated. She wasn’t well kept and her weight wasted. She is 16 years but her weight is like that of a  five-year-old child.”

According to him, the girl is a bit reserved most likely as a result of the trauma she may have undergone. The doctor went on: “There are signs of obvious neglect over time. It is the case of a child having seizure disorder which some people might call epilepsy, and  was not treated appropriately. She was not given adequate medical attention and kept  out of the house in a restricted environment and barely fed which  resulted in malnutrition.

“She is responding gradually to treatment and is a bit more interested in her environment. When I first saw her, she refused my coming close to her but she now obeys instructions.” President of the Mary Slessor Twins Foundation,  Robert, gave kudos to the medical personnel handling her case saying she has improved tremendously. According to him,  the group would lodge formal complaint with the police and the welfare department of Bayelsa State Ministry of Women Affairs.

“Criminal charges of child abduction, inhuman treatment, child molestation and failure to enroll the child for proper education will be brought against the parents,” he said.

Also, the Chief Nengi James Foundation, on Thursday,  visited the girl  in hospital and made a cash donation to assist the Mary Slessor Twins Foundation pay Blessing’s  medical bills.

Represented by the immediate past Secretary of the state chapter of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), Comrade Alagoa Morris, the Chief Nengi James Foundation urged parents to cater for their kids no matter the circumstances.
