Jennifer Adighije- Okolo Wins N13.5M Court Case Against HELIOS Towers

The Industrial Court, Ikoyi, Lagos has given a ruling in favour of Jennifer Adighije-Okolo, the well known designer who is the creative director of the House of Silk against her former employer Helios Towers, a telecom firm.  In the court ruling, the Telecom firm would need to pay, Jennifer Adighije-Okolo #13.55 Million for unfairly terminating her employment. Jennifer before the sack was the company's Head of Operations & Planning.

The Company had terminated their former employee's appointment for what they had termed poor performance (performing below par), Jennifer not satisfied with how she was sacked had taken the company to the Industrial Court, Ikoyi, Lagos seeking for redress. The end result of the case is her winning #9 Million which is the sum total of her salary from between February 1, 2010 to January 31, 2012. Apart from the #9 Million, the defendant would also be paying the claimant another #4.5 Million for damages and also awarded in the claimant's favour is another #50,000 cost.

According to Jennifer, she had been graded excellent by her immediate boss in her yearly appraisal, only for another appraisal body (the management review team) to have given an appraisal of below average, consequent upon which her appointment was terminated.

In his Judgement, Justice O. Abaseki-Osaghae said - The claimant testified as the only witness in support of her claims. She also stated that her performance was very much appreciated by the defendant that when there was a job rotation, she was asked to take charge as Head, Operation/Planning in September 2009. That all through her employment with the defendant, she was conscious of her personal objective with the defendant company, which she knew would form the basis of her rating in the annual appraisal.

“It is the law that an employer is not bound to give reason for terminating the appointment of its employee but where the employer gives a reason, the law imposes on him a duty to establish the reason to the satisfaction of the court.

“I find that the said management review team was acting out a script when, spitefully, maliciously and without any basis, wrote on the claimant’s appraisal form ‘Below expectation’ and recommended that her appointment be terminated.”

The court upheld the claimant’s position that she was entitled to compensation, since she signed the restrictive covenant, not to work for any other telecommunication company, until after two years of her leaving the company.   “She has kept to this covenant. I, therefore, award the sum of N9million as compensation being her salary for two years from January 2010 to January 31, 2012 pursuant to section 19 (d) of the National Industrial Act, 2006.

“For all the reasons given above, I find that the claimant has proved her case. I hereby, declare and make the following orders: the claimant’s employment with the defendant was wrongfully terminated. The letter of termination is hereby set aside. The reason given in the termination notice written by the defendant that the claimant’s “performance has failed to meet acceptable standard” is false and malicious.

“The defendant is to pay the claimant the sum of N4.5million as damages for wrongful termination of her appointment. The defendant is to pay the claimant the sum of N9million as compensation for the period February 1, 2010 to January 31, 2012. The sums are to be paid within 30 days from the date of this judgment. I award in favour of the claimant cost of N50, 000 to be paid by the defendant. Judgment is entered accordingly.”

Rev. Father James Ani Caught In Armed Robbery [PHOTO]

An area known as Imeohia Mmaku in Awgu LGA of Enugu State recently came under the siege of robbers cum kidnappers, who invaded the community to perpetrate their heinous crime. On the fateful day, a priest was said to have led some notorious gang of robbers/kidnappers in the deadly operation. While the operation lasted, the gang sealed off entrances and exits to the community. Clad in a white cassock, Rev. Fr. James Ani, in company with about eight other people held the community by the jugular and laid siege on their prey for hours. It was gathered that they combed the community to see if they could find a prime target to kidnap on which they could feed. As the siege was going on, a team of anti-robbery patrol team usually on routine checks on communities in the state was passing by and accosted the gang. On seeing the police team, Fr. Ani reportedly commanded his ‘boys’ to launch offensive. Wielding dangerous weapons, the gang reportedly engaged the police team in fierce gun duel which further sent habitants of the community and travellers scampering for safety. During the clash, Fr. Ani and his gang reportedly got hold of one Inspector Cosmas Nzeribe and a couple of his colleagues, and almost sniffed life out of them. They however bowed to the superior firepower of the law enforcement agents leading to their arrest. Before they were arrested, the hoodlums damaged the two vehicles used by the police. In the end, Fr. Ani and three others; Ugwu Marcel, Obasi Felix and Norbert Eke were arrested and taken to custody. About five other members of the gang escaped from the scene of the attack. In a chat with reporters, an eye witness, who identified himself as Okey, said: “I ply this road very often and I can tell you that most travellers had had harrowing experiences to share about this place. It is such a bad spot and when the robbers were arrested and we saw a supposed man of God among them, not many of us were surprised because we had experienced that before in this area. Criminals would put on cloths meant for the clergymen to rob people. Thank God, this one was caught.” At the time of his arrest, Fr. Ani claimed that he is not a robber but a priest. However, upon interrogation, he confessed to his crime, saying he was pushed into the crime due to lull in his business. Spokesman of Enugu Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the arrest. He said “The Commissioner of Police has said it many times that there is no hiding place for criminals again in Enugu. This statement he is matching with actions which are evident in the arrest of the four suspects. Imagine someone supposed to be a man of God, being the ring leader in such a crime!”

Goodluck Jonathan just said that at the ongoing presidential media chat! "I am not God..but what I can promise is that Boko Haram won't attack Abuja again. We are doing our best. We had a Security Council meeting today with respect to the Yobe Killings"  President Goodluck Jonathan said this while hosting his fifth Presidential Media Chat.

"Most part of this country is safe now for any celebration, even in Maiduguri...Our low key celebration of Independence Anniversary is not because of security, next year will be a bit one"
He also said "Anybody saying Nigeria is broke is just playing politics with what he is not supposed to" when someone asked him about his wife, he said "she is fine, she went to church today"

BTW, he tactically ignored the question about him not visiting the violence prone states. The chat is still on, join here

"I Will Leave Earth As A Never-Married Woman” - Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey will never get married. The talk show legend and actress has been with long-term boyfriend Stedman Graham for nearly three decades, but admits they have no plans to walk down the aisle. Quizzed if she will "leave earth as a never-married woman", Oprah said: "Yes. Yeah, I think that's my final answer”. However, 'The Butler' star admits she recently pondered marriage after attending her friend Tina Turner's wedding to Erwin Bach in Switzerland in July. She explained: I think that it's interesting that you would ask it because I thought about it again at Tina Turner's wedding. Tina was like, 'Oprah, you need to do this. You need to do it.' And I was just thinking, 'Well, OK, would things really be different?' And no, I don't think so”. Meanwhile, it appears Stedman, 62, is just as content with their relationship as Oprah, 59, is. She told 'Access Hollywood': If you ever interviewed him, he would tell you that had we married, we would not be together today. He's a traditional man and this is a very untraditional relationship. And I think it's acceptable as a relationship, but if I had the title 'wife', I think there would be other expectations for what a wife is and what a wife does

Jealous ex-girlfriend sets rival ablaze in Enugu (PICTURED)

According to a report by Sunnewsonline.com, a 20 year old girl allegedly set ablaze the 22 year old new love interest of her ex-boyfriend. Cynthia Onah reportedly went to her ex-boyfriend's house at Onugba Nike area in Enugu State late at night with a gallon of fuel and emptied its content on Chinwe Igwe, her ex's girlfriend, who was sleeping. The incident took place on August 24th.
The Commissioner of Police Enugu State, Mr. Mohammed Adamu described the incident as very unfortunate. “It is terrible that a girl because of jealousy would set another girl on fire simply because they are befriending the same boy.”
CP Adamu explained that on that fateful day, Cynthia had in connivance with another suspect, one Obiora Chukwuegbo stormed Chika’s home and set Chinwe on fire. It was only the assistance of neighbours that Chinwe was rescued through the window as the fire consumed the room. She was said to have been taken to a private hospital before she was transferred to Annunciation Specialist Hospital Emene, Enugu State where she is still receiving treatment.

The boyfriend, Chika told Sunday Sun
“I am a driver and I’ve been dating Chinwe for the past five years. We had little quarrel and we stopped dating. I meet Cynthia who is a prostitute and dated her for just one month. We separated one month after because at times she would be chasing me with a knife. I couldn’t bear it and so I went back to settle with my former girlfriend. Cynthia didn’t give up as she threatened that she was going to deal with us. She even threatened to pour acid on me.
Being a driver, I travelled the day Cynthia burnt my girlfriend. It was one of my neighbours that called me to say that my house was on fire and that somebody poured fuel under the door and it exploded and burnt my girlfriend who was sleeping in the room; that they have rescued her through the window.
“When I got home, I saw that all my property had been burnt to ashes. My girlfriend was hospitalized because she sustained injuries from the fire. But I am determined and I have promised God that with the condition of my girlfriend that I am still going to marry her.”
The suspect, Cynthia, who hails from Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State, said
“I started dating Chika when he had misunderstanding with his former girlfriend, Chinwe. We dated for one month and then he told me that he was no longer interested in marrying me. Chika is owing me N12,000. When we had a quarrel, I did not threaten him with a knife. I only used the knife to deflate his tyres.
“I have quarreled with Chinwe several times. I sent her a text message to leave my boyfriend. Because she threatened me, I also threatened her that she will never enjoy the relationship. I don’t know anything about who took fuel to the house of her boyfriend and burnt the house. On that fateful day, Chika called my phone at night and said that I should meet him at Emene junction. I was out waiting for him when the policemen from the State CID arrested me. I didn’t know anything about the incident. I only know we have traded words.”
When Sunday Sun visited the victim at the Annunciation Specialist Hospital Emene Area, Enugu State, she said:
“I am still shocked at what happened. I regret dating Chika as I have been turned to something else now. I saw Cynthia Onah and Chukwuegbo Obiora after they had poured fuel under the door and fire was everywhere. I was calling him for help. It was when I was calling for help through the other window that I saw Cynthia Onah and Obiora Chkwuegbo running away and I was shouting for help until the neighbours broke one of the windows and carried me out from the window”, she said.
“My relationship with Chika is over. I am in pains and agony. I didn’t know what to do. I was sleeping and suddenly I saw smoke and it exploded and caught fire. I could have been burnt to ashes if not for the neighbours who broke through the window and rescued me,” she added.
CP Adamu said the suspects would soon be charged to court.

Death toll rises to 78 in Yobe student attack

The death toll at the College of Agriculure, Gujba ,Yobe State has risen to 78. At least 50 of them were students who were attacked in the early hours of yesterday morning as they slept in their hostel. Some were shot, others were butchered with swords and knives. The gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram sect members later moved to houses around the hostel, killing residents they find. Then they blocked the Damaturu-Maiduguri road and killed travellers. So far, 78 bodies have been counted, with many more people still unaccounted for. A student of the college who survived the massacre explained what happened...
"They started gathering students into groups outside, then they opened fire and killed one group and then moved onto the next group and killed them. It was so terrible. They came with guns around 1a.m. and went directly to the male hostel and opened fire on them. The college is in the bush, so the other students were running around helplessly as guns went off and some of them were shot down.”
The gunmen stormed the hostels in two double-cabin pickup all-terrain vehicles and on motorcycles, and were dressed in military camouflage. They attacked 4 male hostels but avoided the only hostel reserved for girls. Swords and knives were used to kill at least 30 male students. Some corpses that were found were without heads while others had heads hanging to the bodies. Wailing parents and relatives were at the Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital mortuary in Damaturu this morning to identify their loved ones. This can't continue. This government has to do something about the situation.

"I've Been 'Servicing' Your Husband Before Your Marriage" - Prostitute Strips 'Customer's' Wife Naked! [SEE PHOTO]

Prostitute Beats & Strips "Customer's" Newly Wedded Wife Naked For Confronting Her
  Culled from trendysturvs;
A newly wedded woman whose husband had been patronizing a local prostitute, simply known as Amaka, was beaten and stripped naked by the prostitute for confronting and accusing her of sleeping with the husband and keeping him away from his matrimonial home.
To her dismay, the prostitute confirmed the allegation and even boasted to the lady that she has been "servicing" her husband before he met and married her and that was not going to change anytime soon. This infuriated the woman causing her to attack the prostitute and fighting ensued. It was gathered that neighbours around were busy taking pictures rather than separate the ladies. The matter was later resolved at a nearby police station.
The woman's husband was said to have denied the "allegation" ... as expected

Angry Arik Air Passengers Cause Confusion At Abuja Airport, Block Airport Runway (Photos)

So yesterday evening, some angry Arik Air passengers caused confusion at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja after they disembarked from an Arik Air flight that was meant to take them to the Margaret Ekpo Airport, Calabar from Abuja.
The disgruntled passengers practically held passengers on other planes at the airport hostages as they blocked the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, preventing planes from taking-off or landing.According to reports, the angry passengers' flight that had the Cross River State Governor, Liyel
Imoke, on board, was denied landing at the Calabar airport at about 5.30pm by the station manager due to safety concerns.
It was learnt that despite pleas by the aides to the governor to allow the landing of the aircraft, the station manager refused, citing the fact that the runway lightening was poor thus, the pilot was left with no other choice than to return the passengers to the Abuja airport.
A passenger in one of the stranded airplanes at the Abuja airport said he and other travellers had to disembark and sit on the tarmac for more than one hour after the pilot announced that the plane could not take off because the runway had been blocked by the angry Arik Air passengers.

The General Manager, Corporate Communications, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mr. Yakubu Dati, who confirmed that Arik passengers blocked the runway, blamed the airline for the incident.
He added that the passengers had insisted that Arik must compensate them for breach of contract, especially since the flight was delayed.
The spokesperson of Arik Air, Mr. Adebanji Ola, however said that it was not the fault of the airline that the Calabar airport was closed by the time the flight from Abuja got there.
He said:
“The flight was delayed because there was Very Important Personality movement and there was also some weather issues, it is not the fault of the airline that the plane could not land there. We are amazed that despite the security at the Abuja airport, passengers were still able to hijack the aircraft and hold other planes to ransom, that should not be the case.”

"I Can't Take The Igbos For Granted" - Fashola Finally Apologises To Igbos Over Deportation Drama

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN) on Thursday offered an unreserved apology for the misunderstanding generated by the alleged deportation of some destitutes to Onitsha, Anambra State.
The state government had been accused of dumping 70 beggars at Onitsha Bridge on July 24, a situation that generated public outcry and bad blood.

Fashola, who spoke at the silver jubilee of the Igbo socio-cultural think tank, Aka Ikenga held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island, insisted he has no problems with the Igbos.
He noted that the largest herds of cattle he received when his father died was from the Igbos.
Fashola said:

I came here to say to say thank you for the honour done to my family and the memory of my late father. People who clearly do not understand the actions taken and words spoken are those I owe an explanation.

I cannot take the Igbos for granted because we have built a relationship based on tolerance, mutual respect, love and trust. That relationship was built by our ancestors and I put a lot of value in that relationship.

I offer an unreserved apology if the actions taken had been misunderstood. But I think the basic issue Aka Ikenga must address is why people feel compelled to immigrate from one part of the country to the other? Is it the case that some lack the resources to develop or perhaps some parts are endowed with enormous resources but not adequately managed? How can development be so difficult from the zone that has produced people like Nnamdi Azikiwe, Alex Ekwueme, Ike Nwachukwu, among others?

As political storm gathers, there are contact spots but like in football, contact spots have rules. Those who are victims of our shortcomings as professionals in and out of government should not be pounced. A day like these calls for deep reflection about issues of our loyalties. Are we more Igbo than Nigeria or we are more Nigeria than Igbo?”

At the event were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Ayim, who represented President Goodluck Jonathan; House of Representatives Deputy Speaker, Chief Emeka Ihedioha; Catholic Bishop, Mathew Kuka; former Minister, Gen. Ike Nwachukwu; President Aka Ikenga, Goddy Uwazurike; former ambassador George Obiozor and President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Gary Enwo-Igariwey.
Others included the former President Aka Ikenga, Chief Chris Asodoka; Director, Lagos Business School, Prof. Pat Utomi; Captain Emma Iheanacho; Nollywood artistes, Onyeka Onwenu and Kanayo O. Kanayo.

Fashola called on residents in the state to embrace Residence Registration Scheme (RRS) to enable the government meets its obligation to them

Things He Wants To Hear You Say In Béd

Someone did sent me a private mail, requesting for this, I thought I could be doing her a favor since she is married anyway.she need to save her marriage.!!!!!!!
so you have it ,try this and let see how it goes .best of luck.

For a man, nothing is séxier than a woman who is loud in bed and participates in a little dirty talk. Below are five things your man is dying to hear you mouth off about.
Him
Men want to know that you’re not visualizing someone else when you’re with them or just phoning it in, so although it may seem basic, saying (or screaming out) his name in béd is a good way to ease into dirty talk. Punctuate it with a few “ooohs” and moans and it will be more than enough to get him going.

The Action
If you’re being a tad quiet, many men will take the initiative and let you know what they’d like to hear by peppering you with questions, such as “What am I doing to you?” and “How does that feel?”
In this case, simply describing the mise en scène and how you feel will suffice. However, don’t feel like obligated to use cuss words if it’s not your style. Instead, take a cue from romance novels and utilize under-used verbs like “pulse,” “swell,” and “throb.”

Your Fantasies
Nothing counts when it’s said in between the sheets, so if you’re feeling confident, why not seize the opportunity and tell him all of your craziest fantasies and dreams? If the thought leaves you tongue-tied, try practicing in front of a mirror – especially the particularly naughty parts – until you are able to say them without feeling embarrassed or laughing.

Stock Dirty Phrases
Sometimes just having séx is intimate enough, and the idea of pouring out all of your deepest desires, especially in a new relationship, is too much. However, you don’t want to be mute. For those times, any of the following stock séxy phrases will work:
“Oh, yeah, right there!”
“That feels amazing”
“Don’t stop, harder”
“I want you so bad”
“Give it to me!”
“You animal!”

Get Creative
Men can be just as insecure as women; so sometimes a little vocal encouragement is all that’s needed to let them know that you are enjoying what they’re doing. Sometimes a few soft purrs can be just as effective as a well-rehearsed speech, so don’t be afraid to get creative. Whatever you do to cheer lead them along will make your bedroom romp all the more exciting.

World’s Largest Tortoise found in Amazon Basin – 529 Years Old

The World’s largest tortoise found in Amazon River is around 529 years old / height-59 feet/ weight-800 pounds OR 362.87 kg incredible.

The red rimmed tortoise is also called the red-foot or red-legged tortoise, the Brazilian giant tortoise, or South American forest tortoise.

These types of large size tortoise are always found in the Amazon River, most of them are found in (Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, and so on) the Adults often reach 3m in length, however this one is much larger. The tortoise Females have wide flattened shells, are larger and more numerous than the males tortoise, the Adult tortoise Arraus feed entirely on plant food.

Their main diet is a plant that is native to the Chtac Province region of Brazil. These flowers of this plant have a gene in them which promotes increased cellular life thus allowing those that consumed them to have a greater lifespan. Amongst the native inhabitants are turtle’s that grew constantly in their lifespan until the day they died. The introduction of this flower into their diet thus allowed them to grow to immense sizes and they served as local guardians to the plant.

It was first discovered by the modern world in 1892 by Haughton who was the last person to had seen it in the century.

The nesting habits of this species are similar to those of sea turtles. Just like sea turtles they gather meet in huge numbers so they can travel to suitable nesting areas. The female tortoise lay their eggs on sandbanks that are exposed where there is only dry season but there are relatively few such sites.

The females timing is to come out on the sandbanks at night time to lay their eggs and go back to the sea, which can number anywhere from 90 to 100 soft-shelled eggs. and they then return to their feeding grounds which they belong to.

The young when hatched are around 5 cm long darts directly for the water, but they emerge to the attentions of many predators so they can only about five percent ever reach the adult feeding grounds. This it is an endangered species and is protected in some country and areas.

26-Year Old To Die By Hanging For Robbery & Rape

For robbing a couple at gunpoint and raping their teenage daughter, a Delta High Court sitting in Warri, yesterday, sentenced a 26-year-old furniture maker, Chijioke Ede, to death by hanging.

The condemned armed robber and rapist was arraigned on a three-count charge of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery and rape before the court.

He was found guilty on all the charges and sentenced to death on count one and two, while he got life imprisonment on the charge of rape.

Prosecution from Delta State Ministry of Justice had told the court that Chijioke, from Enugu State, with another person still at large, on or about October 12, 2009, at Okoro Street, Warri, off Marine Gate, within the Warri Judicial Division, robbed his victims of a DVD player, a laptop computer, cash, jewelries and other valuables at gunpoint and also raped their teenage daughter.

The convict was arrested by the vigilante group in the area as his gang made to escape with their loot.

Justice Mukoro held: “With the avalanche of facts and evidences before this court, for the accused to say he was not involved in the crime is laughable and an afterthought.

“For the court to hold the evidence of the accused will amount to denial of justice, thereby bringing the bar and the bench to disrepute.

“I hereby uphold the evidence of prosecution as all the ingredients of the offence have been proved beyond reasonable doubt and sentence the accused to death by hanging on count one and two.”

Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomole
A Benin High Court has awarded Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, N25million as damages in a libel suit he instituted against the publishers of News of the People, a soft sell weekly magazine. Governor Oshiomhole had dragged the soft sell weekly magazine to court demanding N250million as damages over their report with the headline: ‘Oshiomhole’s sex power exposed: Impregnates young girl six months after death of wife.”
The magazine had reported that Governor Oshiomhole impregnated a student of the state-owned, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, bought the said girl a jeep and interfered in the academic activities of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, on behalf of the girl, adding that Governor Oshiomole used sexual performance enhancement drugs and that he had performed traditional marriage rites precedent to marriage between him and the said girl.

The governor told the court that he demanded damages because the said  publication caused him and his children psychological trauma, six months after the death of his wife, as the libelous piece was widely circulated, to coincide with preparations for one of his daughter’s wedding.
He said:
“When I called a brother governor to sponsor my daughter’s wedding, the governor said he was confused, and asked me if I was the one doing the marriage or my daughter. He added that he was reading a magazine which said that I was about getting married to a university student, and that the said wife-to-be was already pregnant.”
In his judgment, the trial Judge, Justice Efe Ikponmwen, also ordered the magazine to publish a well-worded retraction and apology in a similarly conspicous manner in an edition of the magazine.
He held that the governor’s evidence proved that the magazine’s publication was libelous, and that even though the public has a right to know about a public officer, such information should be in line with the law and must not be in bad light.

You don't believe in miracles, then this should change your mind - ah!
A Chinese woman (luckiest woman alive today) left many speechless when she miraculously emerged unhurt after her car was crushed by a giant container (photo above)
The woman was reportedly driving in Zhangjiagang in the Jiangsu Province of China alongside a lorry carrying the huge, orange box, which suddenly tilted to one side crushing her car.
Firefighters were called to the scene but had to wait almost twenty minutes for a crane powerful enough to life the container off of the car.  Rescuers and members of the crowd which had gathered were then astounded to hear a voice from inside the car shouting for help.
They were able to cut the car open with tools and pull the woman, who had sustained no serious injuries, to safety.

"I've Only Sold 30 Stolen Vehicles But I'm Not An Armed Robber" – Suspect

The Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Lagos State Police Command has in its custody a man who claims that he is not an armed robber but a mere receiver of stolen vehicles.

The suspect, Kayode Haruna, who claims to be an Engineer and a graduate of the Yaba College of Technology, is reportedly guilty of purchasing not less than 50 stolen automobiles from armed robbers at low prices and subsequently selling them to members of the public.

The spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, reportedly said that the suspect advised the robbers to snatch unregistered vehicles coming into the country at the border. She said because the vehicles were not registered, they were difficult to trace and the suspect would sell them to members of the public. She said, “A gang of robbers were arrested last year and they confessed that their modus operandi was to snatch vehicles from people bringing in vehicles from Cotonou, Benin Republic. They would then sell the stolen vehicles to Haruna.

“Based on their confession, police began to search for Haruna. After months of investigation, he was arrested and he will be charged to court for receiving stolen goods.” The 40-year-old suspect, however, said that he had sold only 30 vehicles as against the over 50 the police alleged. The native of Kwara State said when he initially started dealing with the robbers, he did not know that the vehicles were stolen.

He added that when he later knew that the vehicles were stolen, he continued the business relationship because “the devil tempted” him to continue. He said, “I was working at a construction site one day when one of my boys, Sola, gave me the telephone number of Stanley, whom he said was a customs officer that sold vehicles at very cheap prices. I met with Stanley, Ejike and Dada and they gave me very good prices. So, we started doing business.

“Most times, they called me with different telephone numbers and we met at different hotels in Egbeda, Mile 12 areas, Lagos, or the Mowe area of Ogun State.
I always paid cash and they handed over the vehicles to me. They told me the vehicles were impounded vehicles, so I did not suspect anything initially.

“On one occasion, however, they sold to me a blood-stained vehicle. This was when I started to suspect that they were armed robbers. I would have stopped dealing with them but the devil pushed me to continue to do business with them.”

When asked how much he usually bought and sold the vehicles, the father of four said, “I have bought and sold only 30 vehicles. I usually sell Toyota Camry, Toyota Corolla and Toyota Highlander because the demand for the vehicles is high.
“The market price for Toyota Highlander is about N2.2m but I buy it at N1m. I buy Toyota Camry 2010 model for N1.5m and I sell it for N2.4m. The Toyota Camry I am currently driving, I bought it atN350,000.”
