OAU Student, Who Gave Birth In Toilet, Names Baby

The baby delivered in the toilet of Moremi Hostel by a 400-level student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Oyinlola Rotimi, has been named Nifemi, Okikiola.

Rotimi, who gave birth last Tuesday, was initially accused of attempting to flush her baby boy down the septic tank.
But it was later learnt that Rotimi, who was inexperienced in child bearing, thought she had a stomach upset when she was actually in labour.
The 22-year-old mother, studying Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, had told our correspondent that the circumstances that surrounded the delivery of her baby made her “a celebrity.”
She expressed delight with the birth of the baby, describing her experience as “unforgettable”.
When asked how soon she would have another baby, she said, “not so soon,”
It was gathered that the naming of the baby was low-key due to the examination going on in the school.
One of Rotimi’s friends, who spoke on condition of anonymity on Wednesday night, said Rotimi was “extremely happy” at the naming.
She said, “Today(Wednesday) is one of the days I have seen my friend looking so happy, she is extremely joyous. Although, this is not the actual way we planned it. We should have celebrated more than this if not for the fact that examination is ongoing.
“Most of our colleagues are taking exam and that is the major reason for the small celebration. I am hopeful that when the baby clocks one, we will celebrate it in a bigger way because he is our boy.”
However, some OAU students, who were not at the naming of the baby earlier, created their own fun by organising another ceremony, where they named the baby after the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Bamitale Omole.
The students, who gathered around 10pm on Wednesday, appointed a pastor among them to coordinate the christening.
Among the names the students gave the baby are Oriyomi, Omomoremi, Oluwanimilo, Titilayo, Eniolorunopa, Bamitale Omole.
The father of the baby, a 400-level student of Engineering in OAU, Oyewole Samuel, however, rebuffed attempts by PUNCH Metro to chat with him.
But one of his friends, who pleaded anonymity, explained that the father was not happy with the controversy that surrounded the birth of his baby.
He said, “He does not like the controversy and the noise about the birth of the baby. He is a cool person and does not like publicity.”

President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated him and sent his wishes as he clocks 50.
Meanwhile Governor Fashola has told his aides that he does not want an elaborate 50th birthday party.
According to him "By nature I am not a ceremonious person. I don't like all the noise and partying.
If this is my day, then those who really love me should allow me do it the way I want to.
And to tell you the truth, the idea that probably I will have a birthday at tax payers expense is something that does not go down well with me, and it's only for 24 hours. So I am going to have a very quiet and simple day with close friends and family.

President Jonathan's Promise To Nigerians

President Goodluck Jonathan has promised to leave a legacy of proud and prosperous Nigerians at the end of his tenure.
photo
He vowed to continue to work hard in order to create a brighter and enduring future for all Nigerians.
Jonathan made the commitment in the 320-page book, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan: Champion for Women, edited by the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The book presentation took place on Wednesday as part of the present administration’s mid-term report.
Jonathan said, “We shall continue to do all that we can to create a brighter and enduring future for all Nigerians-a future of hope and prosperity; a future where we can be a strong and developed nation, a shining example for a mighty continent. We hope to leave a legacy of proud and prosperous citizens where everyone is treated equally and women are able to reach their full potential in all aspects of human development.”
Jonathan, who said it was his ambition to continue to work towards the sustained growth of the country’s economy, promised that under his leadership, Nigeria would not just be a land of great potential but also a nation where positive changes transform the lives of the people.
Jonathan said making sure women take their rightful place in Nigeria’s government was only the beginning and a vital step that would pave the way for a host of other critical measures his administration was implementing to improve the lives and opportunities of women.
He attributed his decision to entrust women with the responsibilities of high office to the exceptional zeal displayed by his mother, Eunice.
He said, “My admiration for the ability of women to thrive in challenging and adverse environment is drawn directly from watching my mother’s strength when I was growing up.
“She was indeed a true ‘multi-tasker,’ watching her manage the various tasks involved in bringing up my elder sister and I imbibed in me a healthy respect for the ability of women to take control in difficult circumstances.
“This contributed to my decision to entrust the women in my government with the responsibilities of high office.
“My decision to empower women has paid off handsomely as is evident in the performance of these women in their various sectors.”
The President added that he did not take up smoking due to the admonition of his mother.
Vice President Namadi Sambo, in the book’s preface, said the present administration had revolutionised governance in the country./site/httpogunolablogspotcom/)‎

"I Am Pregnant For My Sugar-Daddy And Engaged To My Fiancee"

I will like to go straight to the point because I need your advice right now.

I have this man that has been helping me out financially and he has been begging me to have a child for him that he will send me to any country to have my child.

Although he has children with his wife but he said he wants more children which the wife refused to give him. I have been insisting we use protection, but he always insists on skin to skin.

Recently I noticed that I missed my period, so when I told him he gave me money for the test and said if it is positive I should DECIDE WHAT TO DO AND LET HIM KNOW. On my own side I don't really want to commit any sin by aborting the child because my only brother who is married for the past 10yrs is childless.  I'm thinking I can have this child for my brother/family.

Secondly my fiancee who is a pastor, wants us to get married before the end of the year.

Please what should I do?

Do I explain things to him or just do things my way i.e relocating to somewhere else to have this child including abandoning my education and work?

Please i need your advice.

Confession Of A Prostitute: "I Spread My Legs For Money And I'm Proud Of It"

Listen up. I'm a prostitute.
Yup, I peddle in sex and sexual expression. I spread my legs for money, too, sometimes. I wear red lipstick and high heels and talk dirty. Sometimes I wrap my body in corsets and leather. Sometimes I wear Converse sneakers and jeans. I run my show the way I want it to be run, and I don't roll over and play feminine fantasy mistress.
As a prostitute I rarely did kink with my clients, because my clients were kind of nervous about doing kinky stuff with someone who didn't advertise specifically for that. In London I ended up deciding that my ideal was to ditch both idealized models and be a kinky girlfriend experience, allowing me to do what I really liked: a bit of both. My job satisfaction increased dramatically with that assertion of my agency and my refusal to indulge the dichotomy, something that feels safe for other sex workers but felt stifling to me. In this piece I say "pro-domme" and "prostitute" interchangeably to embrace all three of my experiences in the profession; of course, other workers' limits vary.
Do I sell sex? Yes.
Looking over the comments on my last piece, I was amused and saddened to see that people thought that I was glamorizing the work, and yet I was someone no one decent wanted to be around. I haven't found that to be true, of course, but that stigma is part of what keeps sex workers marginalized and at risk for assault, rape, and murder. Abusers know they can get away with hurting sex workers, because society says sex workers have no self-worth and are isolated. I was told multiple times that sex workers have a lifespan of 34 years -- maybe it has something to do with the way people treat sex workers as less than human, including within the comments on pieces about sex work. And some of the worst comments have come from other feminists, women who feel they have a right somehow to gaslight me, tell me I'm worthless, and treat me like an enemy, not like another woman, and all so that we "think of the poor victims" instead of thinking how those funds are misappropriated by people in power to line their own pockets. Funny that.

I think that in our consumerist society, we tend to judge people on what we think they're worth an awful lot, whatever their profession. I mean, I can't show up to the office wearing whatever I want, not having brushed my hair or teeth; no matter where you work, looking presentable is generally required. I don't think that's limited to sex work. But sex work is older than consumerism. It used to be sacred. And honestly, if I was in an environment where my housing and food needs were taken care of in a quality way, and if I didn't need money to get by the way we do now, I'd be a sacred whore, doing it for the energy and the exchange, not for the money.
But I don't live in that society. I need to put food on the table. If I want to be able to improve my life and quality of living, I need to make moola. I choose to do sex work, where I set my price and hours and vacation time myself (particularly in the U.S., where we have one of the lowest vacation time minimums in the Western world). I say, "This is what an hour of my time is worth to me," and if a person disagrees, they call someone else. That's OK. It narrows down whom I see into a bunch of folks who appreciate me in ways I would never be appreciated in the office cubicle world. And I have the control. I get to decide how I want to budget, whom I see and when, whom to be polite to, and whom to decline.
I didn't have that right when I was an admin.
As an independent sex prostitute I get to decide whom to see, so during my sessions, we tend to explore queer sexuality. My sexuality, mind; most of my clients are straight men, or at least thought they were when we started! And rarely, if ever, has it been about penis-in-vagina sex; men don't come to me for that, because I demand more out of them. I expect them to challenge their assumptions of what makes male and female, what is appropriate and what isn't. We discuss and explore power: who has it, and how, and why. I enjoy demonstrating that penetration is not a male act, or even something only men enjoy. I enjoy discussing sex, and gender and class. I like to help men in positions of power rethink femininity and feminism. My work is intellectually stimulating and challenging, and it uses my brainpower more than any other job I've had.
And yeah, I also like sex, and I like sex with men. How does that make me less of a feminist? As a sex worker, I set terms, I create clear and defined boundaries. Sex work has taught me how to say "no" and stick to it, including in my relationship with my fiancé. I don't see how that can possibly not be empowering for someone like me.
I am sick and tired of having to explain that, yeah, I do all that and I support women's rights. Yeah, I do feel empowered. I put on my lipstick not as an expression of femininity but as a queer femme. Don't take that agency away from me. I put on lipstick not because I feel less sexy without it or because men insist (I don't see the sort of men who would, though they do exist). I put on lipstick as an accessory, a piece of armor that tempts and marks me as "other." Lipstick is just the beginning of how I mark you as mine. It is part of my ritual. It is as much a part of calling down the Goddess for me as my bath or meditation before a session. My makeup is part of my process, and no, it's not for the client. It's for me. Who has the right to take that from me?
I don't need anyone's approval. That's what women's rights taught me. I may get misrepresented by the media. I may get slagged off by moralistic people. But I will demand acknowledgment. I am a feminist, and a whore.
And I exist.

How I Was Kidnapped, Raped For Rejecting Love Advances – UNILAG Student

How I Was Kidnapped, Raped For Rejecting Love Advances – UNILAG Student

                                                                   The victim with bruises

This story has left me speechless. Our youths need a revival.

Policemen attached to Adeniji Adele division have arrested a 22-year-old man who alleged kidnapped and raped a student of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Akoka, for turning down his advances.

The suspect, Babajide Bashorun, was also alleged to have taken nude shots of his victim (names withheld) and pasted them on the internet with her real name, school, department and age.

But the suspect in an interview with Vanguard claimed that the lady was his girlfriend. He admitted to have taken her nude pictures and gave them to his friends whose identities he gave as Aje Mayowa and Babajide Ademuyiwa, both final year students of  Architecture also of UNILAG.

The incident, as gathered, occurred two months ago at 1, Ajose Street, Enu-Owa area of Lagos Island. But the female undergraduate was silent over the matter until her relations abroad who stumbled on the nude pictures on the internet contacted her mother in Nigeria, last week.

How it started

Narrating how the incident occurred, the female undergraduate said: “Babajide  came to our house to treat our dog. In the process, he requested  for my phone number and I reluctantly gave him. He started calling me and told me he would like to go out with me.

“But I told him I already had a boyfriend whom I loved. Yet, he kept calling me, saying he was not interested in just going out with me but wanted to  marry  me. Aside that, he kept monitoring my movements and at a point, I deleted his contact on my phone.

“I was returning home for a weekend in April , a car stopped by my side at Idumota bus-stop. Jide was sitting beside a driver who was unknown to me.

“On sighting him, I walked past. But the next thing he did was to hold me by the hand, dragged me into the car and drove to his house.

“When he got home, he started beating me and tore my clothes, asking what  I wanted that he could not give me. He instructed me to unlock my phone and when he discovered that I used my boyfriend’s name as password, he resumed the beating.

“At a point, he gave me his phone to speak with some of his friends who told me I was in for trouble, for turning down a member of their unnamed cult, threatening that they would kill me for treating him shabbily.

“Thereafter, he raped me and when he was done, his friend took his turn despite my plea. When he saw I was bleeding, he stopped and started begging me. At that point, he brought out  his phone and started taking my nude pictures.  I made attempt to cover my face but he hit me on the head with a bottle and continued taking the shots.

How I escaped

“I begged him to allow me call my mother to give him some money for my release but he refused. I also appealed to him to delete my pictures when he started begging me.

“I stayed in that room all night till the next day when he went out to get me some drugs. Immediately he stepped out, I tried the door and discovered it was  not locked from outside. I quickly changed into one of my dirty clothes in my bag and escaped.

“But I could not tell anyone at home. When my elder brother asked what the problem was on seeing the blood stained clothes, I told him I was involved in an accident and when my mother insisted on knowing what the problem was, I told her I fought with a course mate. She insisted on going to school with me on seeing the magnitude of the injury but I prevented her.

“Barely had I settled down than Babjide called, threatening to kill me if I disclosed what happened to anyone. As if that was not enough, his friends also called and threatened me as well.”

She is my girlfriend — Suspect

However, on his part, Babjide claimed that the undergraduate was his girlfriend, adding that they only had a fight on that fateful day.

Expressing shock over his arrest, he said: “She is my girlfriend. We only fought in April and have resolved the matter.

“What led to the fight was her request for money to buy an IPad which cost over N100,000. Because of my love for her, I managed to raise N70,000. She visited me on that day and I advised her to change her way of living which included going  to club .

I also accused her of flirting with other men. Along the line, we started fighting and I used a mop stick to hit her and in the process , took shots of her and sent the pictures to my friends. But I did not tell them to paste the pictures on the internet.”

Police sources hinted that efforts were on to arrest Mayowa and Ademuyiwa alleged to have pasted the victim’s  nude pictures on the internet, while  Babajide had been charged to court  for kidnapping, rape, conspiracy, attempt to commit murder, indecent assault, and assault occasioning harm.

"winks"We Bet You Didn't Know This!

here are countless new things for us to learn every day. We've collected and compiled some of the most interesting posts about the world. From illegal chewing gum in Singapore to the adoption of full-grown men in Japan, you're bound to learn something, too. We promise.
We Bet You Didn't Know This!
1. Ethiopian girl was kidnapped and beaten until a pride of lions chased her attackers off, then the lions stayed and defended her until help could arrive.
Who says dogs are more loyal than cats? In Ethiopia, a group of men chased and beat a 12-year-old girl, trying to force her into a marriage. But a group of lions scared the men off and then stayed by the girl's side until her family found her a few days later. Experts say the girl's crying may have sounded to the lions like the meow of a young cub. But locals say it's a miracle as the lions are often considered a serious threat to locals.
We Bet You Didn't Know This!
2. Buying or selling chewing gum is illegal in Singapore.
If you're in Singapore hoping to buy some chewing gum after your coffee or lunch break, you're out of luck. The sale of chewing gum is forbidden in the country. The only reason gum can be imported is if it's for export elsewhere. This law came to be after officials apparently noticed copious amounts of discarded gum on sidewalks and streets. If you've got gum, you can chew it, but be discreet. If you're not spitting it out in a trash can, beware: great fines will apply.
We Bet You Didn't Know This!
3. Chad and Romania have identical flags, as do Indonesia and Monaco.
Citizens in Chad and Romania may face a national identity crisis when they realize their flags are exactly the same. It's true; each features a blue, yellow and red stripe, running from left to right. Those in Indonesia and Monaco are in the same position. Their flags are also identical, with a red half on top of a white half. But honestly with 196 countries in the world, there are only so many color and pattern combinations left to choose from.
We Bet You Didn't Know This!
4. 90% of all adoptions in Japan are adult adoptions, mostly men in their 20-30s.
Forget cute babies. Why go through all of the hassle of raising a child when you can just adopt the end product — a well-adjusted man in his 20s or 30s? In Japan, that's precisely what's happening with 90 percent of adoptions. Why? Families are adopting full-grown men to ensure heirs to their companies if they lack a son of their own or don't trust him to carry on the business.

5. Korea's demilitarized zone is one of the world's most abundant and well-preserved natural reserves.
If there's any group that thrives on conflict between North and South Korea, it's the wildlife. A de facto nature reserve has grown in the de-militarized zone between the two nations, and either war or peace could disrupt that balance, experts say. The zone houses several rare species native to the region, including rodents, birds and deer. War would obviously devastate the region, but peace would also mean the taking-over of invaluable wetlands, proving equally damning to the animals there.

8. Bahrain's government banned Google Earth because it allowed Bahraini citizens to see discrepancies between rich and poor areas.
Did Google Earth cause the uprising in Bahrain? When Bahrain gained access to Google Earth in 2006, citizens could for the first time see the huge discrepancy between the ultra-rich and the majority of the population, via massive mansions on expansive compounds, next to the slums of normal citizens. The government tried to block access almost immediately, but it was too late. As the article puts it, "The people had seen the inequality."

9. When Fiat discovered a Google's street view car was mapping Sodertalje, Sweden, they sent a Fiat to tail it for 30 miles to prank Volkswagen's headquarters.
Fiat is taking competition to a whole new level in Sweden. When a Google Street Views car was noticed in Sodertalje, Sweden, Fiat tailed the car for 30 miles so the car could be parked in front of the Volkswagen headquarters just before the Google photo was taken. They say any press is good press, except, in this case, maybe for Volkswagen, which will indefinitely be on Google Earth with a Fiat out front.

10. Italian banks accept parmesan cheese as collateral for loans.
Most people love a good parmesan cheese, but in Italy, it's quite literally worth its weight in gold. An Italian bank accepts Parmigiano Reggiano as collateral in place of money, and they even have a vault dedicated to the cheese. It's no joke; the cheese vault is so valuable it's been robbed three times. The reasoning for this transaction is that cheese takes several years to mature, but the cheese producers need money in the meantime. So they put their cheese on layaway, are given a cheap loan, and then get the cheese back when it’s ready and pay the bank back. If they can't pay, then the bank has the cheese to sell.

11. The Netherlands is planning to construct glow-in-the-dark roads.
It's going to help highlight road features in the Netherlands, like the white lines marking lanes. A special paint has been designed for the roads that will remain illuminated for up to 10 hours after night falls. Special weather features like snowflakes will also be painted onto the road, and when the temperature falls below a certain point, those features will illuminate. Planners are hoping that this paint will help improve road safety and awareness of weather conditions.

12. In Switzerland it's LEGAL to download any copyrighted material.
The Pirate Party in Switzerland is more interested in internet rights than swashbuckling. These pirates want to be allowed to download free content from the internet and, due to a recent decision to uphold current laws, they can. In Switzerland, downloading copyrighted material is free and legal, be it movies, music or software. One sticking point is that you can download the material, but you can’t upload it, or offer up new content for download. The Swiss also argue that legal downloading is fine because that money for the artists just goes other places, such as toward concerts or merchandise.

13. Tribes in the Amazon are using Google Earth to map their lands and fight illegal mining.
Amazonian Indians are using Google Earth and GPS to track deforestation in the Amazon, mostly by illegal miners. The Amazon Conservation Team (ACT) is training them to use this technology, helping them fight off encroachment of their dwindling home. Google Earth gives the Indians a birdseye view to track new mines or hidden air strips that can be impossible to find on the ground given the vastness of the Amazon. They're also mapping much of the Amazon in detail, including the marking of sacred historical or mythological sites.

Your Five Intimacy Stages Of A Relationship

Your Five Intimacy Stages Of A Relationship

Although there are small chances of two or more identical couples existing in the universe, there are certain behaviouristic patterns that people tend to follow -- and, therefore, there do tend to be intimacy stages in a relationship between two people. Within the grief process, according to the KĂĽbler-Ross model, we have denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance (these stages do not always happen in this particular order: we may have anger, then denial, then acceptance, then bargaining, and then depression — then circling back around to acceptance). Grief and intimacy seem to be made of the same fabric — the intensity, the dullness, the gains, and the loss all mirror one another. So, we present you the 5 stages of intimacy.
Infatuation: "Oh my God, I just met the love of my life." "He is perfect. I want to marry him." "I can't believe we have so much in common." "I cannot wait to see her again."
Oh, the sweet, syrupy stage of infatuation. It's so wonderful and so difficult to resist. Hormones and logic rarely coincide, so we find ourselves doing things like checking email 12-24 times an hour, not eating, going to get our nails done at midnight, buying pajamas to match our bedsheets...
Infatuation makes your dopamine levels soar, producing a full-body euphoria that causes humans to seek out sex again and again. To wit, brain scan studies show that the brain during orgasm is 95 percent the same as the brain on heroin. Your brain cannot, biologically, maintain the high of infatuation: You will fry. The infatuation will ebb and flow at different points. The sex will not always be that good ... it may get better, or it may get worse. But all those lovely feelings of that first initial swim in the cool crisp pond of falling in love: How many movies could we watch about that? Billions. It's pure poetry. Love magnified; a revisit to the warm womb of security. Then, the negotiation between security and autonomy, that life-long struggle, crawls in and we begin to land.
Landing: The landing from that fantastic flight can be the scariest part. We see things a lot more clearly. There is a great article in Psychology Today along the lines of, "The day you wake up and say you have married the wrong person is the day that your marriage truly begins." Meaning, this is the day where the veil of infatuation has lifted and the 20/20 vision of everyday living comes in. "Wow, she is neurotic." "He tells the worst jokes." "I didn't think about him at all yesterday. I hope we are okay." The landing can be light and sweet, or rocky and discombobulating. But eventually the clock strikes midnight and Cinderella must run home before the stage coach becomes a pumpkin and her dress returns to rags. Landing! Oy, so bittersweet.
Burying: This stage happens when all the to-do lists of life come toppling into the relationship and before you know it, conversations are focused on things like who's doing the laundry, your boss, or the crazy mother-in-law. During the burying stage, other things — like, oh, life — begin to encroach on your beautiful oasis of a relationship. Burying is not always bad; it's a sign that the relationship is real and weaves into your everyday existence. The important thing to remember here is to "unbury" yourselves. Go relive your first date, do something crazy (or inappropriate)... Do something that allows real life to take a break and the gentle, sweet intimacy to resurface, bringing us to the next stage.
Resurfacing: Resurfacing is the stage where you turn to your partner, and say to yourself, "Oh! I forgot how hot he is," or "She is stunning," or "I love him so much." Resurfacing is the resolution of a relationship: "She is a mixed bag, but so am I." And you start thinking things like: "I can't wait for our next date." "I can't believe I have such a sweet person in my life, who always has my back." It can be triggered by a massive problem that you two resolved, a great date, an especially good night of intimacy, or almost losing the other person. Anything can jolt us awake; maybe a death in the family or even a birth. And then we hit the last stage.
Love: This is what it's really all about, right? The part where we look across the dinner table, fight over the remote, or go on a great trip and think ... "Oh, I have it really good." "I am blessed." "I love him/her more than I could ever imagine." Here, the sex is (usually) better than it has ever been. True love blossoms around year five. The rest is a rotation — sometimes rapid and sometimes slow — of the other stages.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO A WOMAN SOFT HEARTEDNESS/CONSCIENCE.?

It is worrisome and heart breaking to see women involved in atrocities such as baby    factories, stealing, buying and selling of toddlers, women need to be reminded that they are
 the mothers of the world.
Ordinarily, there are things/places you wouldn’t find a woman do/be due to their
Fragile-like nature, even the bible refers to women as a weaker vessel, but these days, poverty, desperation and quest for quick money have hardened the hearts of a lot of women.
It is absurd and strange, when a woman buys her fellow woman’s child/children, all in the name of desperation to have one, a neighbor equally steals and sells another woman’s child/children.
I still find it hard to believe that there are some women out there who initiate fake pregnancies even when they know that they can be subjected to a DNA TEST at any time for any reason. This new madness gives reasons for concerns and makes me ask these questions:
1. What does it take to legally adopt a child?
2. How long does it take to process  adoption of a child? And lastly,
3. What has happened to a woman’s soft heartedness/ conscience?
The rising incidence of baby factories among other ones should attract more attention than it does. Its high time women’s forum (local& international) stand firm to show their displeasure about this. I am also using this medium to call on all concerned agencies/organization, government and non government groups, such as Africans Unite Against Child Abuse (AFRUCA), Women Environmental Program (WEP), Children And Human Rights Organization, National Agency for Traffic in Person, Media Concern Initiative For Women And Children, etc.
Child adaptation process should be reviewed by the relevant agencies, adequate awareness programs on child adoption should be conceived, constantly broadcast nationwide through the appropriate channels. Information and Orientation ministries/agencies should look into this growing trend. I want to assume that the learned people involved in this act were not properly informed, or were not at regular interval reminded about child adaptation.
From all gathered on this issue, the prices at which newly born babies/toddlers are being commercialized vary.
In a baby factory, a female child is being sold between N50, 000 to N300, 000, while a male child is sold between N80, 000 to N350, 000.
Couples involved in toddler theft sell for about N200, 000, while the end user purchases at N600, 000. Miracle babies sell between N1.8 million-N2.7 million in the case of a set of twins or triplets respectively. Why will someone spend so much money just to own a child that is not theirs in the first instance? These people where misinformed and this is a good reason to educate the public about child adoption in other to prevent waiting parents/ mothers not to fall a victim.
My last question: what happened to a woman’s soft heartedness/Conscience should call for a sober reflection. The rate at which women are involved in crime these days’ calls for urgent attention. African women are known to be strong, positive, enduring, religious, affectionate, hardworking, loving, caring and emotional. A woman’s soft spot feels the pains of other women. All these are not applicable to women anymore; poverty has damaged so many women beyond repair.
United Nations International Children Emergency Fund( UNICEF),World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations For Society Organization(UNFSO) together with other information and orientation groups should rise up to revive women’s heart. This is a wake –up call to all First Ladies in our country (Nigeria).I implore all’’ her Excellencies” in the federation to put aside their differences and tackle this challenge as one. I believe more can be achieved with the co-operation of the three tiers of government.
More poverty eradication schemes should be introduced and encouraged.”An idle mind is the devils workshop”, they say. Help get our women busy and engaged all the time. More of Women development centers should be initialized, short and long term loans with friendly interest rates should be made available to those who consider trading but have no capital.
Worship centers cannot be left out of this as they also have a huge role to play, Support morally, spiritually, physically, emotionally, psychologically and financially is a good one. Joining hands with the society will help to overcome this trend; worship centers leaders should be receptive to the feelings of the congregation.  Counseling and word of encouragement is most needed in a trying period, the right words will help to guide the heart diligently. Clergy men/women need to be sensitive to the mood and heart of the needy ones among their followers.
